Seriously M I A

Let me just start by saying that I KNOW I have not blogged n a while...I went on family vacation about three weeks ago and have been sick ever since. I have not written because I have been dealing with spiritual issues and I am currently in the process of finding a new church home due to the fact that I am fed up with corporations and social clubs posing as churches. I really can't understand why "christians" think its OK sing praise the father on high and slander my sisters and brothers below. I have recently stumbled upon a you tuber named philip defranco who has a segment in his show called douche bag of the day a since he doesn't do Tuesday shows I will help him out, so today's dbotd is the leader at my former church/corporation who decided to take it upon herself to slander my name and say that I am a home wrecker...her name isn't worth mentioning but I will say this you: you make sinners cringe at the thought of christianity and I would say see you n hell but I'M NOT GOING...with that being said I am starting back@ some old aspirations as well some new
More info on all that later have a great day

GOD or Black Greek Letter Organizations(pt.1)

Leviticus 26:1 (Whole Chapter) [ Blessings for Obedience ] “Do not make idols or set up carved images, or sacred pillars, or sculptured stones in your land so you may worship them. I am the Lord your God.

In ancient Egypt only a select few were chosen to learn the rights of the dead. These were the ones who wrote with hieroglyphs and taught and buried the pharaohs. There were test that the chosen most go through in order to do this. In turn, in death there were stages that the dead must pass through in order to get to the other world. Remember the Egyptians believed that your body and possessions went with you, hence the elaborate burial rites and tombs (pyramids for Pharaohs, their wives and children).
1.. Your guide across the desert and through your trials was the light of the moon and the stars. Represented by the crescent moon or Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. If you followed this it would take you where you needed to go. Horus - "High, Above" The falcon-god of the sun & the pharaohs.
2.. You must cross the desert to come to the place of testing -i.e. crossing the burning sands - which was nature which is said to represent Alpha Kappa Alpha. Remember the Ivy - the Egyptian Goddess would be Qetesh: A Semetic nature goddess worshipped in Egypt or in the Book of the Dead Sekhmet -- Re created her as a weapon of vengeance to destroy men for their wicked ways and disobedience to him.
3.. After crossing the desert the first thing you would come upon was the Sphinx the guardian of the tomb or pyramid - which obviously would represent Alpha Phi Alpha. You needed to solve the riddle of the Sphinx to pass.
4.. The vessel for your passage, the Pyramid. Which of course was taken to represent Delta Sigma Theta. Their Greek representation in Minerva and the Egyptian equivalent is said to be Isis "the Throne", the goddess of magic & widow of Osiris or Satet "One Who Shoots (Arrows)", the Elephantine goddess of the Nile floods & fertility.. You enter the Pyramid where the rest of your journey is shroud in secrecy.
5.. You must learn. Your lessons were given to you on a scroll. Which is said to represent Kappa Alpha Psi. The god was Thoth "Leader" The ibis-god of wisdom, writing & the moon.
6.. Bastet - "Devouring Lady" The cat-goddess of the home & sunlight. According to one myth, she was the personification of the soul of Isis. She was also called the "Lady of the East". As such, her counterpart as "Lady of the West" was Sekhmet. Said to be a representation of Zeta Phi Beta and the testing of the soul of the dead.
7.. After you had learned all you needed to learn and prove your worthiness to Bastet, now came the ultimate test. Remember that the major organs were removed during mummification. At this point you presented your heart to Maat - which as I mentioned before is said to represent Sigma Gamma Rho. Maat measured your heart against the feather on her scales. If your heart weighed more than the feather you could not proceed on to the afterlife.
8.. Finally, you met Anubis "the Royal Child" the jackal-god of mummification & embalming. Having the head of a jackal (a type of dog) he is said to represent Omega Psi Phi. He assisted in the rites by which a dead man was admitted to the underworld. Anubis was worshipped as the inventor of embalming and who embalmed the dead Osiris and thereby helping to preserve him that he might live again. It is said that the final test given by Anubis were physical.

Spiritual Workout

I was working out last night and during the workout something struck me.....every time i workout i have to stretch. Most of you are thinking: DUH Tim of course you stretch before you workout or you could hurt yourself. Well, I now turn to ask you why don't we stretch spiritually....with prayer. If any of you know me personally you would know that a few months ago you could not pay me to pray. I refused to stretch spiritually because I wasn't working out, much like a lot of people. The terrible thing about this is that we as humans stretch physically everyday(whether you realize it or not), when we wake up, after we have been sitting on the couch in front of the television for hours, and even after we leave the movie theatre. I attend a church where we have a space in the bulletin that tracks prayer hours...needless to say that in whispers the young people had to hear that we were not one of the leading auxiliaries in prayer hours. This wasn't surprising, for several reasons: there were people like me who didn't pray, people like my-x who had a job, house, and responsibility who chose to pray when he got up in the morning, and others who didn't feel that keeping up with hours on a sheet of paper mattered. I have since moved to the latter group. A lot of people like to gather and workout together in large groups, but there are some, like myself, who would rather do it alone or in small groups. My OPINION is that as long as you stretch before you exercise you won't hurt yourself. This also means you have to EXERCISE and get your spiritual heart pumping cause if our heart stops beating we die, right? so we have to get in our cardio(reading) after stretching(praying) because we would hate to hurt the body(of Christ). I have been around Christians that i will bet my education that they weren't stretching because they were running turning people off to Christ(one of those people being turned off before i decided to exercise for myself was me). Lets stop turning people away with our "religion" and GET REAL. 'Religion' is the equivalent of being a couch potato. You may hear everything that is going on and you sit down in the front and eat but you won't EXERCISE so it sits there, in your spirit and turns into FAT. I challenge you all to become lean in the lord. It can happen 'over night', but it has to be maintained for a lifetime(that doesn't mean you have to be perfect and flawless:Proverbs 24:16For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,But the wicked stumble in time of calamity). The only difference between the wicked and the righteous man is the EXERCISE and most importantly the STRETCHING. I hope that we can all realize that stretching includes listening as well as talking and in order to hear you have to SHUT UP

so now i am going to shut up after leaving you with this

1 Peter 4:7:Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer

Child's Play

let me start by saying I AM NOT HATING on the lovely christian cartoon shows that are displayed on the television screens across the country

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

This scripture speaks volumes.
It has been said that ignorance is bliss but the bible trumps that saying by saying my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
I hate to say this but we as Christians sometimes enable this ignorance.
I realized this when i was reading the book of Job(which I am still doing and will finish tomorrow).
Shows such as veggie tales create an entertaining aspect of the bible that is appealing to children. That is after all their target market and that's cool, but what happens when we grow up??? We care not to pick up the bible because we remember the story because Carmen sang it to us in children's church(shout out to Carmen). You see the story of Job had been explained in such a child friendly way that if i never would have studied, i would not have known that Job had friends, who by the way loved GOD. Job was in such agony but wouldn't dream of cursing GOD. He cared about his integrity more than anything because he knew in the end that even when things were at their worst, GOD would reward him in the end.
I am still not telling the whole story to prove a point. We must do as 2 Timothy said and STUDY. Studying doesn't sound like much fun, i know, but when you do your relationship with God will deepen and there will be peace that you have never felt and you will feel a love like no other.

I challenge you all to KYS and Study,

Project Proverbs(the beginning)

Ok so i decided to go through proverbs (alongside my other blogging) so that i can study, learn, help you(the reader) to learn more
What I am going to do is go through a proverb (not a chapter) everyday and blog about it for the month of sept. I know you may be thinking ITS AUGUST LADY...lol...but since i will be starting school soon and i may need a couple of days here and there to skip I am going to start now so that i may finish by the end of the month.
I will read and equate it over to 2009 and add a few of my own personal experiences just to make it interesting

according to dictionary.com a proverb is defined as: a short popular saying, usually of unknown and ancient origin, that expresses effectively some commonplace truth or useful thought; adage; saw.

Proverbs was written by Solomon, Son of David and king of Israel

Proverbs 1:1-7

The first seven verses are explaining basically what the purpose of proverbs is. Even in the first few verses i learned a lot. Verse two starts out saying: for attaining wisdom and discipline...i have had many people tell me i was wise beyond my years so i was fine with that but what hit my spirit was the discipline(see previous blog). this paragraph goes on to say: for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion TO THE YOUNG. I consider my self to be young and so i really opened up to proverbs at this point. I really believe that that is the key to understanding and being receptive to the bible...you have to feel like IT IS FOR YOU(because it is)...the understanding can come from doing a simple thing like getting a new bible(THE GIANT KING JAMES ON YO GRAND MAMA MANTLE IN THE LIVING ROOM IS NOT THE ONLY VERSION OF THE BIBLE.....i recommend the contemporary English version(CEV)). In verse five it goes on to say let the wise listen and add to their learning and let the discerning get guidance...which basically says to me that NO ONE KNOWS IT ALL AND WITHOUT GOD KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS(mainly because you didn't make yourself and and therefore even if you have all the knowledge the world has to offer and still WITHOUT GOD YOU ARE STILL ON A ONE WAY TRIP TO HELL FIRST CLASS.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.-proverbs 1:7(NIV)

GOD's LITTLE GIRL

GOD wants us to man up(by man i mean mankind...lol)

I have commitment issues....there i said it. reading that makes me laugh but it also makes me realize that i do......its kinda crazy because i want to get married but i have commitment issues. its not just in relationships but in every aspect of my life(that's crazy right?...i know it. As i was sitting in church today i told my friends that i had changed my mind about something i had been talking about getting for two weeks because i was bored with it. Believe me i am shaking my head as i am typing lol.
what does GOD say about this????? hmm i wonder{ : )}....let us see
well the bible says that the diligent shall be the masters and the slothful shall be the slaves

when i think of diligence i think of persistence and when i think of persistence i must admit i don't really imagine a picture of myself next to the definition in the dictionary. This troubles me because i don't want to be a slave.......do you want to be a slave????

I DIDN'T THINK SO

stepping out on faith goes along with this because those who are diligent are working toward something and whether they know it or not, that failure is no option attitude is FAITH

the reason that i believe I am soooo inconsistent in what i want is because i let outside circumstances determine how i feel, react, and when I QUIT.......ughhhhhhh

NO MORE

because the bible says the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just and i think it is pretty wicked to be a band wagoner when it comes to living

I realize that i am not ADHD i am just plain fickle and I REPENT

: )

its is not enough to live right when we want to we must do the things we don't want to as well....so let me leave you with this
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

What GOD says about playing games

I am 21 and I reside in TN.....in the south, ladies are taught to play cat and mouse to get men...lol@that....i can be mysterious without playing games. I do have a habit of telling the truth even when it hurts...whether it was when i was sinning or now that i am in Christ. I wasn't afraid of saying what i wanted and i am still not saying afraid....for the most part of it i get what i want or just feel free. Why must people feel the need to lie and participate in trickery to attain a mate??? It is going to blow up in the end. The BIBLE states let your yes be yes and your no be no...please tell me if maybe is included anywhere in this????I feel like this if i don't play games with GOD, WHY IN THE WORLD would i do that with his creation????? i am not just saying that women shouldn't play games, men shouldn't either....truth, respect, and love should be the basis of any relationship that you develop with anyone....the love may be differently packaged, according to whom it may be with, but it should start with AGAPE and only evolve according to GODs WORD.......People of God lets not play games.....tell it like it is because you can believe that I will and more importantly GOD will

Psalm 101:7He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry(stay temporarily) in my sight.

What Christ says about Sex

With my fairly new(not extremely old) status of celibacy i find myself struggling with wanting to have sex.....it seems like it has been forever and 5 days.....GOD is getting me through. I am not ashamed to say that I'm not a virgin but i am proud to say that my relationship with GOD is becoming more and more intimate and the more i focus on him the more my mind is distanced from the urge to become intimate with a male...i agree that the feeling of sex is more than enjoyable but what is the big rush??? GOD didn't say we could never have it he just said wait. look at it this way, you aren't going to walk into moving traffic just because you really wanted to get to the other side of the street... you would get run over.....if we can practice self control while crossing the street, why can't we practice self control when keeping our clothes on....come on if every human did everything that felt good imagine where we would be.....Lindsey Lohan would still be wrecking benzes while driving drunk, half the world would have AIDS and most importantly JESUS WOULD HAVE NEVER DIED FOR YOU WHICH MEANS YOU WOULD BE DOOMED TO HELLLLLLL......so let me leave you with this

1 Thessalonians 4:3 (Whole Chapter) For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you [1 Cor 6:18] abstain from sexual immorality;

Concentration

OK, so if you grew up in the south you probably have played the game concentration...i know i have...well i believe that we as people of Christ need to play concentration but in the area of the bible...let me explain for those of you who don't know:concentration is a game where you have to say a name of something(the subject is chosen right before the round has begun) and there can be no repeating or hesitation. WE as CHRISTians need to go to GOD (whether it be in the word or prayer) and listen to what he needs us to do and not ask him to repeat himself and travel where he needs you to go without hesitation....Jonah did the opposite and ended up in a whale...i doubt you want to end up in a whale, jail, or hell so concentrate on the LORD and all his righteousness

Forced to Think

After reading a few blogs of a friend of mine i was forced to think about a lot that was written and so this first one is dedicated to him.....we know each other well but we still kinda don't know each...because people rarely, truly open up but he knows who he is and he also knows that i have a habit of disagreeing with him.....so here it goes

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

I love ephesians....it speaks to me even in 2009....is this is a hard scripture to live by? OMG most definitely. I feel that the things that we deem okay aren't really....you stated in your blog that you like to check(and yes it may be funny and i do admit that we have gotten into a sparring match here and there...lol) but checking is corrupt communication....is it not?

We shouldn't talk about each others mothers, shoes, and clothes even though it may be funny because GOD is going to hold us accountable because i know that we have all read ephesians 4:29(mainly because it is in the blog...lol)

I am not doing this to point the finger but rather to bring into the light that we shouldn't really judge people for cursing(and i do at times....no shame cause thats me) when our communication is not perfect
and i do feel you thats what you recieved from your bible....so in reponse i say this...ding deeper and challenge yourself...by the bible's standards and you'll be ok but remember to put every scripture to use in all aspects of your life and not just the ones we know we can give up....i guess thats why we have to die to ourselves(flesh) daily.
I guess in a way we as christians have to learn how to commit suicide : )

so to all my believers, even the struggling ones like me, KYS(kill yourself)

Much LOVE
